During a rally that drew dozens of supporters in frigid Detroit temperatures, Stein slammed the voting system in the Wolverine State, The Detroit News reported.
The Michigan Supreme Court put a halt to the recount a day earlier by a vote of 3-2, ending whatever faint hopes there were of going over all 4.8million ballots.
Stein insists that if the recount went ahead, Donald Trump, who officially won the state by 10,704 votes over Hillary Clinton, would have his victory overturned.
The group of electors, which includes the daughter of House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi (Calif.), wrote an open letter to Director of National Intelligence James Clapper asking for the information ahead of their Dec. 19 meeting to formally vote for the next president.
“The Electors require to know from the intelligence community whether there are ongoing investigations into ties between Donald Trump, his campaign or associates, and Russian government interference in the election, the scope of those investigations, how far those investigations may have reached, and who was involved in those investigations,” the letter read. “We further require a briefing on all investigative findings, as these matters directly impact the core factors in our deliberations of whether Mr. Trump is fit to serve as President of the United States.”

President-elect Donald Trump has promised to get jobs back to Americans. A look at the most recent jobs report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) shows that Trump faces big challenges.
Every month, the financial news focuses on the BLS headline-making figures, but leaves the more telling data for Wall Street analysts to dig out. The November report, for example, showed that the economy created 178,000 nonfarm payroll jobs, a mediocre number, and that the official unemployment rate dropped from 4.9 percent to 4.6 percent.
Tradional guideline
Since 5 percent has been the traditional guideline rate to determine full employment, many government economists have applauded President Barack Obama for bringing the nation back from the brink of financial disaster.
But last month, the working-age population increased by 219,000. The 178,000 job creation total doesn’t keep pace with working-age population growth, a very bad indicator.
Meanwhile, the size of the labor force, defined as those working or actively looking for work, dwindled by 226,000. And in a particularly ominous sign, the total of 18- to 64-year olds not in the labor force reached nearly 49 million, about 52 percent of that demographic.
A key indicator, the labor force participation rate, remained near its 40-year low, 62.7 percent. If only 62.7 percent are in the labor force, then 37.3 percent are out of the labor force, which means that Trump’s “false economy” claim that he made in the summer is, at least on one level, correct.
In June, Trump told CBS on “Face the Nation” that the real unemployment rate is about 40 percent.

Another Trump pledge is that he will create a sensible immigration plan that will work on Americans’ behalf.
According to the alternate Household Survey that includes legal and illegal immigrant statistics, in November native-born employment fell 89,000, while foreign-born employment rose 249,000.

The federal agency that handles deportations spent more than $100 million of its money over the last few years to ferry illegal immigrant children around the U.S., according to calculations by a watchdog group that says the cash could have been better spent on enforcement.
Government figures obtained by the Immigration Reform Law Institute through an open records request show Immigration and Customs Enforcement spent an average of $665 per juvenile in 2014, with most of that going to the cost of airplane flights to shuttle the children among government agencies, to relatives here in the U.S. or back to their home countries — if they’re deported.
At that rate, ICE will spend about $4.5 million flying just the children nabbed at the border in October, and somewhere north of $100 million since the surge began in earnest in 2014.

Berlin state senate member, former deputy speaker for foreign affairs and Muslim rising star of German politics Sawsan Chebli is to get a new cabinet post. The appointment by the Red-Red-Green coalition government has caused concern after a recent interview in which she expressed her view that Sharia law was perfectly compatable with secular German society.
Speaking back in August alongside Berlin Social Democrat party Mayor Michael Muller, she not only defended Sharia law against suspicion by many Germans who she accused of not understanding what it meant, but she also went on the attack too. Criticising members of anti-mass migration party Alternative for German (AfD), she said their views towards foreigners made them fundementally un-German.
Speaking to the Franzfurter Allgeimeine Zeitung, she said: “My father is a pious Muslim, hardly speaks German, can neither read nor write, but he is more integrated than many functionaries of the AfD who question our constitution”.
Germany’s newspaper of record and the nation’s most widely-read broadsheet Weltreported Sunday that while the politician attempted to portray the image of the perfect “successful migrant” who despite being born to illiterate, stateless parents was able to succeed in education and enter politics, there are “cracks” displayed by her support of Sharia.
In August she complained that in political discourse, German national law and Sharia law are always presented as contradictory to each other, and said “Everyone talks about Shariah, but hardly anyone knows what Sharia means”. Remarking that Sharia exists “largely to govern the relationship between God and man”, Chebli said Sharia law was “absolutely compatible” with Germany.
In a letter to Mayor Muller seen by Welt, a senior member of Angela Merkel’s ruling Christian Democrat party moved to criticise the appointment of Chebli, remarking: “It is detrimental to the peaceful coexistence in our city, when a Sharia-trivialising minister such as Ms. Chebli exercises government responsibility”.
“There can be no evasion [around this matter]. I expect a clear distinction from a member of government [over Sharia law]”.
As reported by Breitbart London, Berlin’s SPD faction and Mayor Muller have proven extremely friendly towards migrants, with the city conspiring to prevent deportations of predominantly Muslim illegals ordered by the federal government. As Berlin’s new secretary of state for federal and state affairs, it will be up to Sharia-friendly Chebli to manage that relationship between central government and sanctuary-city Berlin.
